How can I protect my solid wood doors from direct sunlight?

When purchasing solid wood doors, you should always have a proper overhang to protect your wooden doors from direct sunlight or western exposure. We recommend having half the door size as a overhang to provide shade during peak sunlight hours. For example, 10' foot tall double doors should have at least 5' feet outer extended overhang to protect the double doors.
