How do I know which way I want my doors to swing?

Every customer is faxed or emailed a door swing location diagram which will require the customer to check the box of the swing location of the door we manufacture for you. This includes all exterior doors and interior doors. The swing location diagram is really easy to follow and allows the customer to tell us how they want us to prehung their doors.

Another easy way to know how you want your doors to swing is to stand with your backside against where the hinges go and use your arms to determine which way the doors swing. As an example, if your back is against the hinges on the rightside and you want the door to swing in, then the door would be righthand swing in.
